Winery Review: "Bright purple color. Faint blackberry nose. Medium body. Blackberry and currant fruit. Smooth and balanced. An outstanding value marred by a bit of mustiness."

Wine Folly: "The rich flavor and high tannin content in Cabernet Sauvignon make it a perfect partner to rich grilled meats, peppery sauces, and dishes with high flavor. Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile typically has tasting notes of blackberry, black cherry, fig paste, baking spices, and green peppercorn. Fun fact: Chile has some of the oldest original wine root stalks in the world."

My Review: This is a stunning garnet wine with ruby edges. The wine emits a dark plummy aroma. This glass was very well-balanced and was a solid dry wine. I really enjoyed that it did not have a very acidic taste. I could taste jammy dark fruits with slight cherry and strawberry undertones and a subtle spice kick. Its fruit-forward flavors linger on your tongue after you swallow, which was very pleasant. The wine left a subtle warming to the back of your throat but was not overpowering. I had another glass after decanting for an hour, and its jammy flavors got even better. I would definitely buy this wine again! Overall, I give Vinas Chilenas' Cabernet Sauvignon a 9/10.

Cheers,

Morgan
